Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) and Atlantic Engineering, LLC are proud to announce a merger of the two firms. JMT has grown considerably - in size and services - in the past four decades, and Atlantic Engineering possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in marine inspections.

The addition of Atlantic Engineering allows JMT to provide clients with a new business line of services with regard to underwater inspections, as well as the investigation, repair design and construction inspection of structures such as bridges, dams, piers, bulkheads, ferry terminals, platforms, and water tanks. The team of more than 10 qualified divers and other professionals is based in Kinnelon, NJ, with a second office in Toms River, NJ.

Over the past 20 years, Atlantic has worked with a wide range of clients, including the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New York City Department of Transportation, New York State Department of Transportation, New York City Economic Development Corporation, New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New Jersey Transit, water supply companies, and most New Jersey counties.

Atlantic's owner and president, Bryan Juncosa, PE, is a licensed professional engineer and diver with more than 30 years of experience. He has worked on 3,000 highway and railroad bridges - above and below water. Juncosa is also a member of the New Jersey Task Force-1 Urban Search and Rescue Team.

"JMT is a great firm to be associated with," Juncosa said.  "Its reputation for excellence and commitment to quality makes JMT a preeminent firm in the New York/New Jersey region and beyond."

Brian Strizki, JMT vice president and Trenton office manager, said: "The addition of Atlantic Engineering expands JMT's capabilities, particularly with regard to underwater structural inspections, which are required on many of our bridge contracts. We know Atlantic's expertise will benefit many of our clients."
