CPM Schedule Review & Claims Analysis for MPA

Location: Baltimore Metropolitan Area, Maryland Client: Maryland Port Administration

JMT provided schedule review and claims analysis services for numerous assignments on behalf of the Maryland Port Administration.

The Maryland Port Administration (MPA) needed a consultant with expertise in construction cost estimating, construction schedule review, constructability review and construction claim analysis and evaluation in handling construction claims before Federal and State Boards and Courts.

JMT provided schedule review and claims analysis services to the MPA for numerous projects. For CPM scheduling services, JMT reviewed the contract drawings and specifications and contractor CPM schedule submissions and provided MPA with written reports with recommendations on acceptance or rejection of the initial baseline schedule.  JMT then monitored field progress and attended progress meeting in order to review the contractor's monthly CPM schedule update submissions.  JMT provided MPA with a written report monthly to document progress and identify areas of concern. For claims analysis services, JMT reviewed the contractor's submissions for quantum and merit, and made recommendations to the MPA. 

JMT completed more than 20 tasks on this on-call contract. A sample of tasks included:

Cargo Shed Area 400: Schedule review services for a new, 110,000 sf pre-engineered cargo shed at Dundalk Marine Terminal.

Automobile Processing Facility - Masonville Marine Terminal, Phase 1: Claims analysis and CPM schedule review for a processing facility, fueling structure, QA/QC building, trucker/dispatch building, and gate house building.

Elevator Modernization, World Trade Center, Baltimore: CPM schedule review for the elevator modernization in this 32-story skyscraper.
