Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA
JMT developed construction documents and provided construction oversight for the multi-purpose synthetic turf field at Franklin & Marshall College’s Shadek Stadium. JMT’s sports field designers were part of a multi-disciplinary team. We guided the college through the various steps of the field design and provided detailed design, specifications, and construction oversight for the new field. The new playing surface is the first field in Pennsylvania with an envirofill infill system that provides a firm, fast, and safe surface. The field also features an engineered shock-absorbing pad under the playing surface for additional safety. Read More

Nearly twenty years ago, Mark created a sports field master plan for Hershey High School, which included considerations for a future stadium. Now, a longstanding agreement that allowed the school district to use nearby Hershey Park Stadium for football games is coming to an end, and Mark and his team have returned to Hershey to build the stadium. In addition to accommodating increased traffic to the school’s multi-purpose field, the design will also incorporate a local memorial and a new art installation to make the stadium’s entry plaza a communal gathering space.
