JMT Advances Major Manufacturing District Project in El Paso

The El Paso International Airport and city leaders recently broke ground on Phase 1 of the Advanced Manufacturing District, a major development project that will help shape the future of manufacturing, technology, aerospace, and defense industries in the region. The project is expected to bring new jobs, opportunities, and long-term growth to the El Paso community.
JMT has led the project management efforts for the design-build project and will now move into the construction management phase as the vision for the site begins to take shape.
Located on a 250-acre site near the airport, the development will be built in multiple phases over an anticipated 15-year timeframe. Once complete, the campus is expected to include approximately 20 to 25 buildings.
Phase 1 covers approximately 30 acres and includes a 50,000-square-foot Building A, a 100,000-square-foot multi-tenant Building B, a site guardhouse, and associated utilities and roadways. This first phase marks the beginning of what will eventually become a much larger manufacturing and technology campus for the region.
The JMT team involved since the start of the project has been led by Paulo Peres, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Laura Moreno, and Alex Garcia, CCM. The construction management portion of the project will be led by Arturo Gonzalez, RA, GGP, Alex Garcia, CCM, Jorge Loya, EIT, and Gerardo Garcia, PE, CCM, CCT, CDT, CQM.
JMT is honored to be part of a project that will help shape the future of the El Paso region. We extend our gratitude to our client and project partners for their trust, collaboration, and dedication throughout this effort.
