The Delaware Valley Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE/Del Val) named PennDOT’s SR 0095, GR2 project as a 2015 Project of the Year in the large project category (over $10 million). The award was shared by the project team comprised of the following:

Owner: PennDOT District 6-0
Contractor: James J. Anderson Construction
Design Engineer: URS (AECOM)
CM Prime Consultant: Hill International
CI Prime Consultant: JMT

The GR2 project consisted of reconstruction and widening of I-95 to include four lanes plus a fifth auxiliary lane between Shackamaxon Street and Columbia Avenue in multiple stages. Improvements included sound barrier panels, ITS elements, replacement of three single span bridges on I-95 over select city streets, roadway reconstruction and five retaining walls, two noise walls, drainage improvements, landscaping, and other miscellaneous construction. JMT (and former Trumbull Construction Management Services staff) provided supplementary CI oversight and documentation services on the project for PennDOT.
