JMT joined city officials and the contractor on Nov. 10 to celebrate the completion of a $900,000 pedestrian accessibility project funded by the City of Georgetown. A sidewalk now extends approximately one mile from Leander Road at I-35 to University Avenue at Wolf Ranch Town Center.
“This new sidewalk will provide a key connection between residents who live around Leander Road to restaurants, shopping, and jobs on Highway 29, and vice-versa. This investment allows people in Georgetown to have a safe and accessible route along a key corridor in our city,” Georgetown Mayor Dale Ross said, in a City press release.
