ECM International, Inc. Joins JMT
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) is pleased to announce its acquisition of ECM International, Inc. (ECM). JMT, ranked #60 among the Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms, provides engineering/architecture and related consulting services across the United States. ECM’s program management, construction management, and construction engineering and inspection experience augments that of JMT, which strengthens both firms’ abilities to provide quality services for clients across the Southwest U.S.
ECM was founded in 1983 in El Paso, TX, and quickly established a reputation as one of the preeminent providers of program and construction management services in the Southwest U.S. ECM staff, more than 55 strong, have delivered projects for the public and private sectors with specializations in local government, K-12 and higher education, housing, roadways, airports, utilities, and industry, as well as for state and federal facilities. Among ECM’s clients are the Cities of Austin, El Paso, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville; Hays County; Texas Department of Transportation; Texas Facilities Commission; Sam Houston State University; El Paso International Airport; and the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso.
Founded in 1971, JMT is a 100 percent employee-owned firm with a nationwide staff of 1,900, now including more than 140 employees and eight offices in Texas. In addition to program management, construction engineering and inspection, and project controls expertise, JMT provides a full range of multi-disciplined engineering, architectural, environmental, and related services to public agencies and private clients.
