Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) and Rubeling & Associates, Inc. (Rubeling) are proud to announce the merger of the two firms. By combining our architectural groups, we will blend and strengthen the many services we provide to both the public and private sectors, resulting in a much more robust architectural practice.

Rubeling, founded in 1981, is an 18-person architecture and interior design firm based in Towson, MD. Baltimore Business Journal in 2013 rated Rubeling as the 16th largest architectural firm in the Baltimore area, and 21st largest interior design firm. Their staff specializes in master planning and design for education, religious, healthcare, government, and commercial facilities throughout Maryland and the East Coast.

“We’ve worked so well together for many years, and the level of trust between our staffs is already well established,” said Albert “Al” W. Rubeling, Jr., FAIA, President of Rubeling. “I am excited about the great work that we can accomplish as we combine our skill sets.”

JMT President John Moeller, PE, said, “Rubeling joining JMT is as comfortable as having a good friend over for dinner. This is an outstanding opportunity that enhances both firms and aligns with our strategic plan to increase our architectural practice in Maryland and throughout our geographic footprint.”
