JMT was a member of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) Contract C Design-Build team, whose project was selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Maryland Section as the “Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Over $20 Million.”

Contract C, part of one of the largest Design-Build projects ever procured in Maryland, included nearly four miles of new six-lane roadway, the reconstruction and widening of three interchanges, and the reconstruction of nearly two miles of collector-distributor roads along I-95.

JMT led the design of more than 50 structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and noise barriers, the design of the electronic toll collection systems and traffic management systems, and lighting design for the entire project.

Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 140,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society.  The Maryland Section of ASCE celebrates its centennial in 2014.
