El Paso Streetcar Project Support

JMT (formerly ECM) supported the quality assurance team as the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority constructed a streetcar trolley route in El Paso.

Location

El Paso, TX

Client

Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority

JMT (as ECM International) provided third-party inspections and managed the quality assurance program for the 4.8-mile-long El Paso Streetcar project. The streetcar line runs through the heavily congested urban areas of downtown El Paso to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) campus.

JMT staff played a vital role on the QA team, using their knowledge of the City of El Paso standards and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Spec Book to verify that all work was performed in compliance with the standards and specifications.

Other responsibilities for this project included preparing and submitting daily progress reports, performing traffic control and stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) inspections, keeping the contract administration team informed of relevant issues pertaining to the project, tracking and reconciling quantities for the contractor’s monthly pay estimate, and managing material acceptance testing.
