Facility Support for Four Independent School Districts

JMT (formerly ECM International) has provided a variety of project management services for multiple school districts within the El Paso, TX, region. JMT’s services for the Canutillo, El Paso, Socorro, and Ysleta Independent School Districts have included ADA assessments, cost estimation, condition assessments, and other services that have aided the districts in preparation of bond programs, growth, and overall maintenance.

Canutillo Independent School District – JMT performed condition assessments for 15 schools with over 1 million SF, and we conducted on-site evaluations of the building systems and identified life-cycle data for the project capital replacement requirements over the next 10 years. The assessments were required to ensure the school could properly plan for future requirements and upgrades across the district. We assisted Canutillo ISD by collecting data, prioritizing all deficient conditions, and providing feedback to Canutillo ISD to meet facility requirements.

El Paso Independent School District – JMT conducted on-site evaluations of facilities to determine effectiveness in terms of general conditions and suitability to serve the district. The appraisal identified infrastructure deficiencies and included a brief description of the required corrective action/repairs to bring the facilities up to current code and safety standards to extend the life of the buildings. JMT also performed scheduling review and provided a schedule analysis identifying conflicts and potential corrections along with cost estimating for each project identified for the district bond program. JMT’s services included ADA assessments and Texas Accessibility Standards compliance review which included a report of deficiencies with corrective action and repairs to ensure facilities would meet code requirements.

Socorro Independent School District – JMT performed plan review and third-party inspection services for the Eastlake High School and the Mission Ridge Elementary School that entailed reviewing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape drawings, and conducting code compliance reviews. JMT’s also provided construction management services for the El Dorado High School.

Ysleta Independent School District – JMT conducted inspections and accurate analyses of all visible components and elements of designated properties and facilities requiring maintenance or planned action. The District also requested JMT to conduct observation and identify building characteristics, and data capture to ensure proper adherence to all relevant codes and regulations. The amount of information collected by JMT consisted of 7 million+ SF of inspections. All data was translated and organized by rank and priority of all cited deficiencies with corrective actions noted for all.
