Public Safety Operations and Training Facility
The City of Georgetown, TX, hired JMT (as ECM International) as project manager for its new public safety operations and training facility.
The administrative facility houses the fire and police departments with technology enhancements, including a tactical training facility and a slow-speed driving track with an expansion area for a future shooting range. Within the main building, there is an emergency operations center, a 911 dispatch center, locker rooms, and physical/defensive tactics training area, a criminal investigation lab, and administrative and operational spaces.
As project manager, JMT coordinated with fire and police department leadership to identify goals and desires for the facility. JMT handled numerous critical services for the City, including plan and contract compliance, schedule and budget oversight, change order monitoring and development, and coordination of overall team communication. JMT also managed the complex IT/AV and security elements required.
