The high-profile Airway Aesthetic project consists of a series of artistic and functional sculptures at the busy Airway Boulevard interchange at Interstate 10 in El Paso, TX. This location is a major gateway to the city, as travelers from the El Paso International Airport use the interchange to access I-10. This art component is the highlight of an ongoing aesthetic improvement in this busy transportation corridor.

The sculpture, designed by artist Vicki Scuri, features an assortment of 50-foot-tall wind turbines and ground-level sculptures that illuminate at night. The sculptures resemble desert plants and contain programmable LED lights that change colors based on upcoming seasons or community events. Other elements include pedestrian amenities, decorative paintings, and a landscape.

JMT (as ECM International) provided project management services for this award-winning project and coordinated efforts with numerous firms and agencies including the Texas Department of Transportation, Keep El Paso Beautiful, and the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority.
